I love this guy's videos. he is probably the scariest car sales person I have ever seen in terms of being worn down and having defences torn down brick by brick.

Last time I bought a car, it was from a place that puts the prices on the cars, take it or leave it, no negotiating, no haggling, no "Let me go talk to my manager". Picked out a couple, drove them, chose one, bought it. If buying a car is anything but that, I'm gone. And THIS guy, and people like him, are the reason. NO, as a car buyer, I don't want to "have a good time". I'm there to buy a car.

I never get tired of the Mrs. McGregor story 👍

Some good lessons in this video. I bought a car couple weeks ago and I have yet to hear anything from the dealership. I honestly don’t expect to hear anything.

I would say honesty and integrity but… the videos speak for themselves. Poor souls that get in front of this wolf.

We don't like the industry because it insists on acting like a black box, even as diminished as that is in the internet age - we know going in that the deal we get isn't going to be the deal others get, it is dependent on how good we are at getting deals. This automatically puts our masculinity on the line and sets up an adversarial relationship with the dealer. We go in insecure, because even if you give us the car for free - being that the black box approach has turned it into an issue of defending our manhood - we have a half-dozen friends who will make a point of scoffing at us for having been ripped off. If customers are really unpleasant, it is because the industry has made buying a car something that is really unpleasant to do. And if we tell you the truth about everything, you will rip our eyes out - so yes, we have to lie.

You will sell me a car at or near invoice, or somebody else will.
I have been leasing vehicles every other year since 1995. And every single one was at once. I never put money down, and I never roll over negative equity. You just have to find the right dealer with the right car at the right time, and spend all day negotiating.
I leased my 2021 ram 1500 in New Jersey. The best time to get it part. Right before they all go home. On the final day of the year. And I drove two hours to do it.

It’s hard not to laugh at a guy like Steven Richard 😂

If I see a car I’m interested in, I’ll call and ask for a firm out the door number to be emailed to me. If the salesman won’t do that, and gives me the “come to our store first” BS, I’ll keep looking. Or just go to CarMax, like I did the last time I bought a car. I’m never going to sit around with one of these people again, all damn day listening to this crap. Cars are depreciating assets, not an investment, and paying hundreds of dollars a month in interest on one is financial suicide. All the crap the back end guy tries to sell you is overpriced worthless junk.

You USA sharks in this game deserve your reputation of conning customers with bullshit up-selling and additional stuff. There is no reason whatsoever that cars can’t be specified and purchased online like thousands of other products are these days. It’s only because getting in front of you conmen gives you the chance to do a face to face con. Avoid, avoid, avoid

Terrible advice. If a salesman calls me every month or even leaves a voicemail every month I will block his number. Once a year is ok but once a month is super annoying
