I've always been shy about playing in front of people because of my weight. I'm not a very healthy person but I'm trying to change that before I reach high school. It's hard because there are a lot of people that play volleyball at my school and most of them are good. I'm not very good but I'm alright but when I play in front of them I know they're judging me. When I play with the boys there a so mean even the girls don't like playing with them. If you miss a ball they'll complain about you right in front of you and they'll keep saying "Can we sub this guy out please". Like I'm not even there and it hurts my feelings because I want to get better but when they do that it really hurts and makes me not want to play. But playing with the girls is much better because instead of comments like that they'll say "It's ok you're trying" or they'll give tips that are actually helpful. Watching her play was inspirational and taught me that you don't need to be skinny to play and it's given me the confidence to ignore them and keep trying. I've been playing with the girls more and I've gotten better.
