Stellantis Completes Test Market 17k Off All Cars And Trucks, One Price And Done. New Standard?

In today’s video I talk about stellantis and the market tests where dealers cut a flat 17k off all vehicles and used a one price no haggling system. Towbin Dodge was one of these volume dealers that used this in my area. Evidently this was massively successful.
Let’s discuss this in the comments

It’s about time. I am so tired of dealing with dealerships and their markups that I’m still driving my 2014 truck and swore that if things don’t change I’ll just put a new engine in it or a new transmission when it goes I’ll run this 2014 truck clear into 2050. I am not alone in my area.

Interesting how "no bs pricing" is an alien concept in some industries.

We have a used car dealer that has no-haggle pricing.
Grab the keys and a plate, take a quick drive, if you want it, take a number and a paperwork/ sales person will come get you and take you to the offices to finish the paperwork. They were selling 1200 cars a month.

100% Stellantis has the worst dealerships to deal with and is why I don’t buy their products. I am Looking to buy a 2025 Ram Rebel or Ram Laramie. Holding out for the 30-35% off msrp. Stellantis should sell direct to customers cuz they have a corrupt dealership problem. Thank you for all the quality information you provide on YouTube brother.

I sold Chrysler products over 25 years ago and in ‘94 was in the top 50 salesman in Jeep sales nationwide
Went to many Chrysler manufacturers sales meetings when they were considered a 6 pack
I can remember their moto was always
“Customer always 1st”
They lost this over the years to greed
Sales moto especially on commission pay “time is money”
4 things that I see would help this Company succeed
1. Make it an American Co again
2. Customers are # 1 and they ultimately pay the bills
3. Back the product with longer warranty’s
4. Yes take hassle out of negotiating
5. Bring back the American name Dodge to the trucks

Stillantis needs to work on vehicle reliability and price.

My wife and I recently purchased a 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe from a dealer that was like this. No haggle, here’s the price, they aren’t selling you junk “service” packages that are added to the OTD amount AND @TK, you will appreciate this, the locking lug nuts were only $60! It was a great buying experience. Matter of fact, we drove by two exact model matches on the way there (300 mile one way trip) and still chose this place because they weren’t trying to add crap on or be sketchy about the pricing. I hope CDJR dealers go to this model, you can make money in it and it significantly restores trust and reputation for the brand.

They may be better off just selling all the vehicles for $17, 000 each. It is kind of a bud lite issue at this point.

I'd like to see "Out The Door" price tags in the lot. Tax, tag, title, everything included already.

That's how Saturn worked and people loved it. I had a buddy who worked for Saturn and he was basically a sales clerk at Best Buy. Explain the features, take them for a test drive and come back and write 'em up.

Dodge Dealers in Southern Alabama area still playing games, considering a 2024 or 2025 RAM Rebel 1500. Went to three dealerships over the pasty week. One dealership was listing almost 9K off MSRP on a 2024 in AutoTrader but when I got to the dealership, the addendum sticker had about $5, 500 in dealer added bullshit + $990 Documentation fee and another $800 addition vehicle preparation fee. The salesmen was not very receptive when I asked to remove the dealer added items, he played tag-team with the sales manager who came in to speak to me about how the dealer installed items add value to the sale. The two other dealership were basically the same, discount was off MSRP but price jumped back via dealer addendums and fees'. Calling them first before visiting, could never get a clear OTD price. Going to wait a few more weeks to see if the program TK talks about becomes available, if not will simply go to Ford.

I'm old enough to remember when GM tried no haggle pricing with Saturn.

#1 first of all, Stellantis significantly increased the price of the vehicles, the MSRP, in the past few years.

#2 $17, 000 off, barely covers the market adjustments I've seen on these cars.

#3 How nice of them to do this trying to get rid of old 2023 cars.

MEANWHILE, what you actually wanted, was fair pricing on the specific vehicle you wanted - which is now sold out.

Former car salesman - one price works all day long - I use to turn 30-40 cars per month - yeah I was good at selling cars - but I was even better at working the managers - Managers SLOW down the process - ONE price eliminates all the BS of trying too get another $500

I'm a chevy man since 81. 2 brand new camaros, a Blazer n 3 Silverados later my brand loyalty is gone. Main reason is the afm cylinder deactivation issue that I found out about well after my 2018 purchase. My 2015 blew up at 70k. Finding out it was an issue for over a decade was heartbreaking.
Other reason, of all the bullshit dealer add-ons....wheel locks, nitrogen, bed liner that started to blow away at highway speeds.
The $350 3M shit on the 3 inches of the hood, , door edges and back of door handle weather poorly and deteriorate more each year. The edges just pull dirt into them. On a pearl white optioned truck, it's been an eyesore since year 2 and progressively getting worse. I wish I could post pictures.

I'll believe it when I see it, but I don't believe I'll see it. The largest volume dealership in Texas didn't participate. They're doing $12700 off of MSRP. Still too expensive.
