You need to make sure that the job block you place down is easy to access for the villager. If you trade once with the villager they will keep the profession they have. This is important because if you destroy the job block before trading with them then I believe they lose the profession. I just did very simple trapping for the tutorial, you don't need to do exactly this

My understanding of the concept “they work for you” means that, for example, a farmer gathers vegetables and wheat, then stores them. But that’s not the case. You can only assign him a profession and he will still want something from you so that you can buy something.

The last villager jumped out though, would I just make the fencing smaller to trap him there or is it not necessary to trap them?

I got two zombie villagers and I turn them into normal villagers then I put them in a room with no plans of breeding them and in one day they had four baby’s 💀

Thank you. So far the simplest explanation of professions & how they work. In survival domyou just slowly kite & lock them into job huts for them to work? Or how do you.kite them all the way to your base to make a villager room for example of you didn't build right inside of a village?
