Показать описание
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)

Im just gonna say it: some of these Tedx talks bring up speakers who may know their matter, but dont know how to pitch it effectively.

Its clear this man knows quite a bit, but stumbled all the way through his delivery

Misleading title. Many of us wanted the "how to create" beyond "gather people of diverse backgrounds" which is what is offered here. We wanted suggested guidelines and specific steps, such as Harkness or Socratic methodology.

Were there guidelines for the best way to have those discussion groups?

I don't think there's much discussion really about how to do this, it sounds interesting, and I kind of am doing this already, but I'm curious what you think best facilitated conversation and how you help people to feel invited into a conversation and so on.

It's so sad when I pull people to speak up about their job, they said that is boring topic and not worthy.

A talk full of noise. Could have been a 30 sec video

I find it funny how in 2024 yes some of the TEDX talks do have good speakers who do or may know their matter however like @thesho1443 said
3 years ago I am not so sure if it is in fact the pitch or if it is the teachers and helpers using the skills and tools they have been given to effectively teach or help the student to learn

A string of ideas non-stop for 10 minutes. Not really a talk. Seems like a first draft.
