Liked how they used actual NFL teams and Super Bowl. Today they would have to call it the Big Game between the Dallas Wranglers and Pittsburgh Superstars.

I watched the real Superbowl X with my dad. We bet a Big Mac. I chose the Steelers and won. A Big Mac in 1977 was $1.10. I thought I was the king of the world for beating my dad. I remember I was 9 years old and it was a big burger to me back then. My dad is still alive but we haven't seen each other or talked in almost 21 years. I just wanna remember that time and let things be as they are.

The very quick Moment at 0:36 is actually excited family members running out of the sidelines, to celebrate the Pittsburgh Steelers victory in the 1976 superbowl. They used that footage for the chaos, though it was the complete opposite emotion in real life! : ) Another quick shot at 0:04 when everybody in the stadium stands up, that was also from real life, when before the real game, the announcer said "Please rise for our national anthem."

This movie was a perfect example of the plight of Viet-Nam veterans in the 1970s. They fought in the war only to come home and see themselve portrayed as battle scarred maniacs(Bruce Dern's character is a psychotic pilot in this movie) in movies, tv shows and even comic books instead of the American heroes many of them were in real life.
It wasnt until the early 80s when our veterans were finally accorded the respect and gratitude they earned.

Good film, well acted by Dern, Shaw and Marthe Keller. Was not easy to shoot but they got good cooperation.

This would have been a tense scene were it not for the comical amount of times it cut to crowds aimlessly running around and screaming.

This is the first time I've seen this. Really well done scenes of the blimp descending into the stadium years before Computer Generated Images. Now I want to watch the whole movie.
