I went to Disney World in 2018, 3 months after hip replacement surgery. My hip set off the metal detectors at the park entrances and going through security to the monorail. I did mention it, beeps went off but everyone was very nice about it. I always get sent through the full body scanner and get the wand and a pat down at airport security - I’m just that special 😂 Main thing is it’s not a big deal and I’m glad they do check.

I got on an airplane once with a couple of dive knives in my carry on (I honestly forgot they were in that bag) and they went through just fine. I realized they were in the bag in my overhead bin halfway to Florida.

I just returned from a flight to/from Chicago and Tampa. Just before getting screened, I told them that I had 2 shoulder and a knee replacement, they put me in the full-body imager and off I went. No problems.

Love this vid you guys! I'm an Ob/Gyn down here in the States, and I get asked this question all the time about IUD's.

The answer is, no, it won't set off alarms at the airport! However, I am LOL'ing at Paul being too pretty to be in jail and not having the swagger to be in a gang, and also at Paul telling him "We'll get you inked up..." I'm thinking... Dang! I'm glad I didn't do my residency in Canada!

I have an intramedullary rod in my left leg and a TKR in my right knee. I always set alarms off which require wanding and once that's done I'm good to go!

My doctor gave me a letter to carry for these situations. It's not only the airport but also jury duty you have to go through security as well.
