Crucifix to One-Handed Strangle: Take the Back from Turtle (BJJ No Gi)

Показать описание
The crucifix serves to trap an arm and removes a key obstacle to attack from top of turtle. Whenever we’re attacking the turtle position, one of the main problems we face is a partner who understands that most submissions focus on the head and neck. They become very defensive with the upper body and don’t leave themselves vulnerable to opportunistic attacks. The second major problem is that from turtle, their base is often very solid and it’s difficult to generate movement to open enough space to start to attack. We counter this by driving a wedge in at the arm and knee, then levering one arm out. This is the beginning of our crucifix entry.

I noticed that if they base out with their legs more to the other side they won’t let you roll to get into position, if you have the other arm you can just pulled them back by going backwards roll instead of forward
