I like people who are nostalgic and make efforts to preserve our past. This booth was amazing!

We had one of these Voice-O-Graphs in our family's cafe. Dad bought it in the mid 1940's. The cafe was directly across from the train depot & hundreds of new GI's would stop in on their way to WWII. A lot of them made recordings to send home to their families. We still have piles of the records. The original records play at 78 rpm speed. Hard to find a player for those these days !!

I have a 78 RPM record that my great uncle recorded on one of these machines in the mid '50s. Nice to see what it might have looked like.

My dad recorded a record in one of those in 1960 and he talks in it. Atcthe end he says "it's really nice to have something like this, because someday when I'm no longer around, you can play this and hear what your old man sounded like". I cry just thinking about it.

My mother made a Voice-O-Graph recording in a booth like that back in the 50s.  Such a booth is not popular now because people have their own recording devices.  But I would enjoy doing a recording in a karaoke booth that would record my voice with background music, and there is such a thing, although no one has a so-called "Star Booth" in Chicago, IL yet.

Probably didn't show Neil recording in there because album not released yet - and the song he did is on the album...Crying by Patsy Cline, written by Willie Nelson!

There used to be one of those machines at Seaside Heights at the New Jersey shore in the 60's. My sister made a recording with a couple of her friends. I forget what they sang but it was put on a 45 vinyl

I was going to record proposing to my (now wife) in this booth. I couldn't pull it off properly but I did get the 1 of 5 Neil "A Letter Home" Shirts. Love it! 3rd Man is great.
