DID isn't a personality disorder - it's a dissociative disorder ugh

How are you even allowed to work with a condition manifested like that? You could botch an operation...

That’s definitely not how personality disorders work. They are a disorder in thought processes in regards to one’s ego. You can have a brain tumor that causes neurological things like psychopathy, or ocd, or one that alters your personality, but you can’t have a brain tumor that creates a personality disorder. That’s like saying a brain tumor could make someone autistic. The problem is in how the entire brain works, not one spot. And if a brain tumor DID somehow form in the frontal lobe causing a personality disorder, I doubt it would be so surgical as to skip over the other things that lobe is responsible for, like all movement. They didn’t call Phineas Gage’s condition a personality disorder bc that’s not what it was. It’s brain damage that alters personality. Hit up the DSM.

I've never seen this show before today. What exactly is going on with the doctor? Is he the one with multiple personalities?

Does anyone remember the name of the medical drama with the psychiatrist who rode a bicycle and might have had a sister? It appeared pretty soon after House became a hit.

I’m new to this show, and I’m seeing Lin-Manuel Miranda!

Wasn’t this guy in House as the guy who played a doctor on a soap opera that house stalked bc he thought something was wrong with him and he was right? 😂

Why do all medical shows HAVE to have the main doctor have cancer or something? It's just a weird trend I've noticed.

This whole clip is confusing and crazy etc. But especially the ending. Bad Bethany surprisingly did not do anything in the hospital after finding out about the surgery to get rid of her. That is interesting. But I don't understand why Ian wanted Bethany saved? I don't understand why Bethany would not go out with him? Etc.

First time I see this show, why did she do that at the end though? What happened with them later?
