Neil deGrasse Tyson on electron. How small is an electron what is the electron mass? Using the best available values for the wave-length and the scattering by matter of hard X-rays and γ-rays, the radius of the electron is estimated as about 2 × 10−10 cm. Electron, the particle we all know and love.
Elctron: they cant love me if they dont even see me. 🤣

So the electron is basically John Cena.

There is something else: It is virtually impossible to take a measurement of an electron without changing its state, energy level or location.

That's pretty electromagnificent! Or electeosignificant! Wow!

The initial Thomson measure was the charge to mass ratio of the electron

The electron is always smaller than what is observable by any quantized field of light. Case Solved💪🏾

The whole music and Noel and his way of explanation has a Mr Roger's feel to it.

Muons have a mass of 105.66 MeV/c^2, which is that of the electron,  ♏e. There is also a third lepton, the tau, approximately 17 times heavier than the muon.

Thank you Doctor. How do we know that a electron is not simply energy rather than a particle in the typical sense? How do we know that it has mass? What if it’s just a massless energy that is a quality of atoms? what if the electron is only something that relates gravity to mass?

But basically everything you have ever seen has electrons, and mostly what you see is the result of the way photons interact with bond electrons. Accept, if you're looking directly at a light source, but even then the photons were interacting with electrons.

And what do you mean by observed? In that sense no particle has ever been observed, not even photons. But people have collapsed a lot of electron wave functions.

University of Toronto took the first photo of an electron in 2019 after it was previously filmed although blurry back in 2008

Probably the electron is no a particle at all. Why are we obsessed with particles.
Peoples need to hear more Ken Wheeler videos.

If an Electron is so small and everything is made of atoms with electrons in orbit, how could a detector be used to measure a single electron in the double split experiment? Have wondered this for years.

And i thought when my wife nicknamed my friend from down under "electron" it was a matter of pride

Just thinking about the electron. It’s a bit like a bad fart~ impossible to see but it’s everywhere at the same time. 😳😯🤓

Don't get carried away guys, we now have particle accelerators, we have observed even smaller particles than electron
