🔎 EXCERPT 🔎
Is it possible to live comfortably in Poland at half the cost of living in the US?
Here is the answer: NO. It is not only possible to live comfortably with half of the cost of living in the US.
Because with that money, after watching this video, you will realize that…
You can live like a King.
Or even better than a king, because there will be nobody saying Liberum Veto to you.
(Sorry, unless you are Polish or a historian, likely you didn't get this joke)
First I will start with the surprising Pros of living in Poland, things that nobody told you before
then we will also expose the negative sides.
By the end of this video, you will discover 5 places that offer you unbelievable value
with real proof from people who had been there, like me.
So let's start with the biggest pros of retiring in Poland as an expat.
The first one is often overlooked, but very important for foreigners like us:
and that is the fact that Poland is a very central European country
Location, location, location! Living in Central Europe has its benefits. Poland has multiple international airports offering quick flights to several iconic destinations. A short flight can take you to cities like Paris, London, or Rome. If you miss mild winters, Malta or Cyprus are just a few hours away by plane.
If you want to fly really cheap, you can use a combination of rail and flight,
because from Warsaw you can reach Berlin in just five hours and a half by train.
And from Berlin, flights to places like America are much cheaper.
The next pro of Poland is also very notorious: It is a very safe country.
[...]
the next benefit of living in Poland, probably the one you’ve been waiting for, is…
The Low Cost of Living
Poland is the third cheapest country to live in the European Union - only Romania and Bulgaria are cheaper.
But when we talk about the cost of living in Poland, there is a very, very big “BUT”.
A mistake that, if you do, you will end up paying prices higher than Germany.
This mistake actually is the first negative aspect of our list of negative points.
Poland might have some of the best value to retire in the EU, but this doesn’t apply to Warsaw.

I enjoyed watching your video. It's interesting and informative. 🇵🇱 Poland is a truly beautiful country with a high standard of living. The diversity of Poland's regions and landscapes, well-developed road, highway and railway infrastructure, beautiful architecture, delicious regional food and friendly people make this country a very good place to live. Additionally, Poland 🇵🇱 is located in the heart of Europe. Poland's nternational airports make the country well connected with other European and non-European destinations. 🇵🇱 Poland is an affordable place to live. It's a country where history interwenes with modernity.

Poland has low crime because they said no to Muslim and African immigration. Sweden said yes to Muslim and African immigration and crime is at record highs in Sweden.

I'm a Pole and the choice of Bielsko-Biała didn't surprise me at all. Yes, it's not well known or anywhere on the lists of the fanciest places. But it has the special charm of a "poor man's Vienna" with some strong historical ties with that capital (I know Vienna fairly well and some similarities are striking), the surrounding mountains may be the most spectacular in Europe but beautiful enough, and the city itself has an exceptional positive and friendly vibe.

In Wroclaw (southwest Poland) the days with temperature below 0 C degrees is not more than 20 in the year. What's more, it's warmer every year due to climatic changes. This year spring came 1 month earlier than usually.

9:22. I bet Polish dogs must be real smart, because they understand all those grammatical variations.

I really appreciate how you investigate specific cities. Great work.

I'd like if you spent a little more time clarifying the visa and residency process for countries that you are introducing as possible retirement locations. A country can be nice to visit but if it's impossible to get a long-stay visa then it's just not an option.

I’ve owned a flat on Nowy Swiat Warsaw since 2000 and in the last 3 or 4 years rents have exploded Same most places I guess

Very interesting video, thank you. From the point of cost of living - smaller cities are always cheaper, no matter the country. The question is how is the expat community in there, language barrier etc. I haven't heard much about those aside of Krakow, Warsaw and maybe Gdansk. Krakow is probably the most attractive for majority of US expats due to unparalleled history and culture. It has certain old European charm (unfortunately comes with air pollution, high costs of living and traffic). If you come from the larger city in the US, Warsaw will be quite unimpressive.

I'm looking for a country to retire in that doesn't poison the soil, air, water, & food supply, that is also low cost, safe, and free. Poland seems like one good option.

I was just laid off at the age of 45, I have a 9K military pension and access to Tricare and VA healthcare. With a 401k, assets, and savings, I am considering selling or renting my home and relocating abroad. What are some good passive income opportunities?
