I’ve been working on a quad bike someone chucked out and I did get it running but definitely has an intermittent electrical fault so now I’ve just bought and installed a complete new wiring harness from eBay but still not running. I got sucked down the rabbit hole like you. Parts for these things are cheap and you tell yourself all it needs is this, next thing you're $100 in and still going. Mine had pitted valves because they're not stainless steel losing compression. Seems none of these chinese were built to any standard. I just redid the handlebar kill switch and none of the wires were color coded to the old. I stripped it down to the basics and eliminated the alarm, key switch brake safeties etc.... way too much unnecessary junk. I'm sure in 6 months it will be worth $4 again. Nice investment.

I have a TaoTao 125 I just recently bought a new battery and new carb but bike still won't start turns over and cranks but won't start up I'm going to tighten those four screws that you said in front of the head and see if that works if not I'm not sure what else to do please help 6:28

hey i have a coolster it was running... but one day while riding it it kept cutting off and now i cant get it runing

Got the same bike runs good but cant get idle set seems to keep changing starts rite away and runs great as long as i got just the weight of my fingure on the throttle clean carb new gas new plug cleaner in gas any help would be awsome

I recently purchased the quad and ended up having to replace the starter on it and severely clean the bowl on the carburetor. I started and drove the quad a few days ago and now all it is doing is turning over very slow. I thought at first it was just a dead battery so i replaced it and it is doing the same thing. If i take the spark plug out it turns over just fine. i am stumped at this point and am not sure where to go from here. i really dont want to take it to a shop but it looks like thats what i am going to have to do at this point. Any help would be appreciated. thanks.
