A 4-3-3 with a flexible Defensive Midfielder that can play as a CB in defense and fullbacks that can play as wide midfielders to press/close space out of possession and wingers that can be used as second strikers is probably why I really love this formation, alongside the 4-2-3-1

This formation is a revolution, mainly the false 9. If your wingers are good finisher then a playmaking ST would be deadly.
The ST can play as a fake10 and 9 in the same time.
Beside if you CDM is defensively good and the wingbacks can play freely then the wide areas aren't a big problem.

Orange is the new black, and 3-2-4-1 is the new 4-3-3.

I remember having a weird variation of the 4-3-3 in fifa career mode: i used two center backs and two full backs, i used one central midfielder and two wide midfielders and I used three strikers. This formation actually turned out to be pretty good

My favourite formation. The middle is the most important part of the pitch. You lose the midfield you usually lose the game. It’s better for the striker to feel isolated than a midfielder to feel isolated. It’s better for the opposition to attack from the flanks than right down the middle in front of goal.

The 4-3-3 is geometrically the best tactics you can use on a football pitch since it covers all the corners of the field and creates a constant triangle on offense that gives team an advantage

If I remember right, I’m pretty sure England primarily used a 4-3-3 in the 1966 World Cup, utilising 3 strikers in the process. I’m sure I remember seeing that somewhere. It’s a lot more nuanced today than it would have been then, but in the modern game most formations can be made flexible enough to transition into other shapes when needed.
