I've been a real pilot for years and this is well done for a very quick how-to. It's edited and done the way we want, you just give us the information we want quickly with clear concise commentary. Well done.

Sir I was stuck for a long time and i was manually maneuvering the 737-800 and it wasn't pretty.
But this video...
It's an absolute lifesaver
Thank You!

7 yr old video that i just stumbled on. I have been playing FS9 since 2004 and i knew how to program the gps but i never knew the autopilot would follow it. I mainly fly VFR but i am getting ready to go flight school so i am trying to fly actual arrivals. Like the real world pilot said this is a 5* video. Straight to the point. No lame ass music or going off and talking about stuff that does not pertain to the video. I definitely have to go watch his other videos on the GPS. I know this is this is FSX but the GPS on FS9 and X are virtually identical.

Haven't completed an entire flight in around 4 years, you have helped familiarize me with simulator. I used this tutorial in flight and landed ILS approach perfectly using my new mcp pro and saitek radios first time.

Thanks so much for this, I was able to fly a 737 from Gatwick to Heathrow and actually land a the plane rather than crashing. I might try to sort out autopilot and try longer flights

Cheers Jack, I was looking for a good explanation of Garmin GPS, and I found it here. My only issue was the CRSR PUSH button on the GS 1000, as found onboard the Beech Baron 58; it is super fiddly to operate with my mouse cursor. I got there in the end after about If anyone else has aggro with this switch it will work but it has a very fine point to click on with your cursor.
Just subscribed and a thumbs up.

Thank you so much for this extremely helpful and clear guide!

Can this method somehow be integrated into an IFR flight plan? I have landed, am now sitting at the gate, have just chosen the next destination via GPS as per the first half of your video, but now I want IFR to guide me there (altitude, heading, ATC centres, etc.), rather than relying manually on GPS. Is there is way to integrate this or is the Flight Planner function the only way (which then auto-loads the GPS anyway)? Thanks a lot!
