I have owned a 370Z Touring since 2009 and it is a great car. I am waiting for the new Z to move into the 2020s. Would definitely buy the New Z over the Supra. The Z looks muscular, sleek and modern, while the Supra looks like a Scion FR-S with too much added fender flair. I'll also take the Z's turbo charged V6 with the manual shift over a BMW inline 6 any day. Can't wait until it is available.

1990 300ZX TT and 2016 370Z owner here and i will definitely be getting the new Z35. Nissan reached out and actually listened to the Z community to find out what they needed to do to make the 370 better. And they listened to every word (except two cup holders). The new Z is Nissan's interpretation of the embodiment of the Z community.

To be fair the Supra was meant to be the top of the line performance vehicle for toyota meaning it's direct competition is technically the GTR. The Z was meant to be an affordable performance car, but if Nissan did this much to the new Z imagine what they could do to a new GTR.

I own a 2017 370Z 6MT. With some simple mods and a tune, it is at 362hp. I installed the 19" wheels from the 370Z Nismo model, which are wider than the stock wheels. 275 tires on the front and 295's on the rear. Upgraded the sway bars to Whiteline sway bars. The car is perfectly neutral now with the front understeer gone. It is a blast! Putting the 400hp V6 TT engine in the Z will be mind-blowing! Those engines can easily be pushed up to 450hp without a sweat!

Nissan fanboy here. I did make the switch to Subaru Sti but I needed the extra doors for my kid. I loved my 370z but I always felt like it deserved a little more power. The 370z chassis felt amazing and honestly I loved the styling of the 370. So it being based on a 370z isn’t a bad one can’t wait to see one stripped out and cages for the track.

I don't think I have gotten this excited for any other new car. I don't usually feel like buying when a new car comes out, but, I have to admit, I feel like I have to get this one. I don't know why, it just feels right.

Tuners will go mad on this one. Plus the 370z chassis was perfect and it makes sense if Nissan re-apply it to the 400z. Kept the cost down as well. This will be a great car

On paper it looks better and cheaper. All that being said until we start getting critiques on how well it drives we can't make an informed decision. Personally I don't like the styling of the Supra so that would push me towards the Z alone.

My First car was a beat up 85 300zx and recently I owned a 50th anniversary 300 zx which I sold to get another car. This car is cool and has the right amount of nostalgic value.
