The Tories will have shot themselves in the foot if they elect Sunak and made themselves unelectable - as they pretty much are at the moment. I've always been a Conservative voter but I wouldn't vote for him. It's a less than dynamic bunch to choose from but I might consider Liz Truss, otherwise I will not be voting Tory in the next election.

What I cannot understand is why all these MP's are supporting Sunak, as it is clear whoever faces him in the playoff by Conservative members will win. Perhaps they are secret Truss fans & are supporting him to let her in, as that is what is going to happen. Drop out Sunak as you are not going to win even if you have 50% of Tory MP's supporting you.
