I have always been intrigued with Bitcoin mining, because it was a way to turn my computers into my own employees earning passive income 24/7 and thus giving me a new income stream as I chase dreams of financial freedom but uh... is Bitcoin mining still worth it? BTC mining rigs cost thousands of dollars, and Bitcoin is less valuable than it was last year leading to lower mining profitability but I am still earning more money mining Bitcoins than I spend on my electricity bill. Your view only matters if you are trying to make profit now. I can mine at a small loss or break even, and it's no problem if I'm betting on the price going up in the future and hold what I mine.

Super helpful thank you! For me personally it seems this will be too much time and money invested for not much return. I do wonder if you already had a solar set up or had enough capital to set things up somewhere like Thailand or something where you have cheap electricity if it could work. But that's a but much for me right now!

It is easier to wait for the coin to dip then buy and hold for years and then dump it. The noise and constant money you throw in at electricity and hoping the miner doesnt die is not worth it.
