I live in the Russian city of Astrakhan.
Which until 1830 was called Astracan [Astrajan]. And which until 1830 was one of the three main cities and capitals of Tartary.
Since 1830, after the annexation of European Rusia [not rasha, namely rusia], Astracan became the capital of the newly created Asian Rusii. And it already began to be called Astrakan and sometimes Astrachan.
