Black Ops 6: Unlocking Dark Matter Made Easy... (The Ultimate Comprehensive Mastery Camo Guide)

Dark Matter is that end goal for multiplayer camo grinders that this year introduced a few different twists to it, including but not limited to the fact we have dark matter challenges per weapon this year instead of one instantaneous unlock. But while this grind can be absolutely tedious, it's more of just that than anything that's super challenging. So today, I wanted to take some time to put together a comprehensive guide on how to best manage this challenge in as efficient a manner as possible and hopefully helping you out with some of the more frustrating challenges. Don’t waste time using the lower level unlock guns if you want to prestige, like the c9, m4 etc. Save those ones for after your level gets reset so you have something to make progress on when you can’t use other guns.

For anyone trying to get gold for the launchers, play hardpoint core, and try to get subsonic and payback lobby, it's great maps for non lock on.

3500 headshots were completed in mosh pit fully gold on everything was done on mosh pit I can’t wait to enjoy the fkn game 😄

My tips are: play regular core, in hardcore you get 1 shot headshots, but you can adjust your aim so most of the time you'll just get a bodyshot, not to mention that theres way more sweaty people there, play nuketown 24/7 and not face off, on nuketown you are at enough distance to properly aim at the head without having people just sliding into your legs constantly like in stakeout and theres little to no elevation changes, so when correctly positioning your crosshairs most of the time the headshots will just come naturally, for snipers, my only tip is to play normally, i tried taking it slower but it doesnt really work, and if you are good with them just use the default optic since you have more clarity when aiming, if not, then use a low/no zoom optic, but other than that you cant do much for them other than just tanking the tedium.

i genuinely don't understand how people were confused by the grenade launcher attachment challenge

of course you have to actually use it, having any kill work would defeat the entire point of the challenge

I found crawling on the ground in stakeout hardcore was the most effective for pointblanks, no expects it but they catch on quick so it’s good at the beginning of a game, every time I done it, others did it aswell it was hilarious😂😂

Personally I’ve got the most progress on nuketown. Hardcore/hardcore face off is completely insufferable with the recon specialty. I have no idea how people play that crap. It’s gonna take me a month or 2 to fully finish the grind but at least I’m actually enjoying the game and not sitting at the back of the map spraying heads like a bot.

Hotswap tipp: shoot first once into the ceiling or just somewhere, then swap, then kill.

Currently at Marksman rifles and did hardcore face off moshpit basically the whole time. For point blanks, slide around corners and pre-fire with recon on. You'll get there eventually.

I like Dark Matter on BO6 but am I tripping for saying that BO3 Dark Matter still looks better? The purple on that game just popped more, in this game the camo seems more brighter.

Great Tips! For close quarters with LMG the "Sleeper Agen" field upgrade comes in handy, as you can sneak up to enemies or even run close from front.

So fun fact with the Baseball Bat.

If you hit L2 (or whatever button/bind you have for aim), you can do a small animation that locks enemies in and kills them in "one hit" in core similar to the sword in MW3. It takes a sec, and it can be stolen by friendlies, but it can sometimes be way easier than just trying to smack em.

6:32 Sorry if someone has said this, but if you are working on kills quickly after switching weapons for the bat, try switching from your secondary to the bat. I don’t know if that’s the for sure fix, but switching to pistol, shooting once at the beginning of life and then switching to bat when close to someone worked for me.

Just started the grind about 3 days ago. Play about 2 hours a day. Still isn't that hard. Headshots are the easiest on core face offs. Breezed through ars, smgs, and shotguns asap that way. Gonna try with lmgs and marksman on hardcore which I predominantly play. Maybe snipers to. If a 33 yr old dad like me can get the grind done. You young bucks can to. Y'all got this. Hope I'm done by Saturday/ sunday

The Bat kills after switching weapons is WAY easier if u go into settings, combat setting, then change your Melee from “holding melee button” to “weapon cycle”. It’s easier because you double tap triangle/Y and pull out ur bat wayyyy faster. You can spam the button and keep swapping between primary, secondary, & melee super fast. Completed the challenge the next game after discovering this !
