For the record, the regular super saiyan transformation didn't have that many wins in the tournament of power, but we can't ignore how Goku and Vegeta became super saiyans to defeat some of universe 9's fighters, and Caulifla used it the to defeat a universe 10 fighter, and the super saiyan assist against Jiren, but otherwise it was usually transformations beyond super saiyan that are used to defeat opponents.

I like the fact that they use their base form or even first transformation to deal with threats and only use their more powerful transformations if needed.
