Thanks for posting this, this really answered the questions I had! Another one I have is I know it’s all seniority based, but is there any other ways first officers get recognized and move up in pay or up to Captain? Are there supervisors of some sort that keep up with performance or something at the major airlines? I’m like paranoid I won’t get recognized or be ignored since I’m a black female I’m already experiencing being ignored or not taken seriously often, like is the seniority system actually fair?

Why didn't you fly cargo for one of fedex or ups feeders and get to mainline after 3 years with a feeder?
