In this final instalment of the series on Jonah, God provides an object lesson for an angry prophet. Jonah experiences what it
feels like to have God remove His grace from Jonah’s life. The shoe Jonah wanted Nineveh to wear was on his foot now, and it pinched. Why is that we often fail to empathise with others until we ourselves have gone through what they have experienced. God is endeavouring to help this wayward prophet understand mercy towards others, by exposing him to the need for it himself.
