I just got the R50, I am thinking whether this or sony ZV-E10 would be the better choice. I would use it for family and travel photography, the lens options for are extremely limited by the Canon. I have found very scarce information ablut the ZV-E10's performance when it comes to photography.

My recommendation for students: If you aren't shooting video, you should get a used full-frame body instead of a brand-new crop sensor.
What sets real cameras apart from smart phones is: 1) flash sync, 2) true bokeh.
And you get more bokeh opportunity with a larger sensor. You also get to use wide-angle lenses as they were designed.
You'll start collecting full-frame lenses—and learning to use them at their intended angle—and you can upgrade the body later.

If none of that is a priority, then you can go all the way down to a micro four thirds kit. You can get an 8K cinema camera.

Hi, I am deciding to purchase a camera to start my photography journey. I was considering either the lumix gx80/85 or canon r50. To note the lumixgx80/85 comes with a two lens kit. The R7 does have two downsides. One, it's not full frame. And two, it's heavy. It is within three ounces of my bulky 90D. That fact alone is turning me away from the R7.
