Chicken and Shrimp marinade:
3 roasted red peppers
3 cloves of garlic
Salt and pepper
2 tbs. of sour cream
1/3 to a 1/4 cup of olive oil
juice of a lime
Blend together

Mississippi pot roast is a staple in our home! We make it 2-3 times a month and it’s always SO good. It never gets old!

We love Mississippi roast sandwiches... French rolls, roast, sliced pepproncini’s, and mozz cheese, wrap them up and warm them up so the cheese gets melty.... dip them in juice like a French dip Sammy... yummy!!

Since you all love chicken, make the chicken in place of the roast. It make such yummy sandwiches.

I use the whole jar of pepperoncinis when I make Mississippi roast. Juice and all. Soooo good.🤤🤤

Cut carrots up (leave them pretty chunky) and let them cook in their with the roast, so delicious!!

Mississippi pot roast is the only way I do roasts now. I put some pepperoncini juice down in the crockpot, then put the roast on top of that. I also add about 8-10 pepperoncinis on top. I like to have it as sandwiches the first night, on buns with Tostitos Queso on top, and then the next night or the following, I"ll use it in a shepherd's pie, making a gravy with the drippings. If you really want to punch it up, add a little pepperoncini juice to the gravy, too. It is SO good!!

You’ve got to try MS pot roast as a sandwich. Put it on good buns pour some extra juice on and provolone cheese 😋

Never tried Mississippi pot roast but now I will 😋. But I seriously love the look of the chicken and shrimp tacos as well especially with that mango salsa thanks for sharing🤗

Oh! If you like that roasted red pepper marinade - you need to try the Romesco Sauce from Trader Joes! Its a dip or sauce made with roasted red peppers, almonds, smokey tomatoes - it has a touch of spice/heat to it too. I think its traditionally used to dip Spanish papas bravas (fried potato wedges). But its delicious over chicken, fish, shrimp; as a pasta sauce; as a dip for pita bread or a spread on a sandwich... so delicious!

I love adding the traditional potatoes and carrots to the Mississippi roast recipe... that sauce it makes is just so delicious on everything. My husband also likes rice with it, but I love it w/ mashed potatoes too.

When I make my Mississippi roast, I quarter up a few potatoes and put them in at the start too. They are so yummy, after cooking all day in the juice on the crockpot

You should really try using slow cooker liners! They are LIFECHANGING!! You can get them at Walmart or just about anywhere by the plastic wrap and aluminum foil. Makes clean-up so much easier.

Our family LOVES Mississippi Roast. We like to cook egg noodles and shred the roast like you did and mix in the noodles. Soooo good. Now I need to make that!!!😋
