Cosmetically repair a FUNCTIONAL SAFETY RAILING? Sounds like a clown show. That was NOT a REPAIR... that was a bandaid stuck on with bubble gum.

won't this add galvanic corrosion to the problem?

Man, I got a wrought iron fence on my front porch I want removed, but everyone says it’s easier to just weld the rusted joints or do what you did here 😂 My biggest concern is galvanic corrosion over time that is aggravated by the local weather. I’m ready to just fill the holes with mortar patch after pulling it off and install vinyl railing over the patched areas with better anchors.

The two different metals together will surprise the next owner and corrode. We don't want them wishing I'll on prior owner. Ut the home inspector will point it out and take off $50 to repair with $5 rust remover and $12 paint.
