Tropical Storm Milton gaining strength

FOX 13's Valerie Mills says Milton is expected to hit Florida as a major hurricane. The storm could make landfall near Tampa Bay but the track is still uncertain.

I live on Bradenton/Sarasota line. NOT looking forward to this. Power outages and work being closed for no power= no pay. This severe weather prep is costing me a fortune. Praying for everybody.

She said they don't want to talk about the models that show it being stronger, I've seen countless storm go from a predicted cat 2-3 to a 4-5 over night. Better be ready for a bad one as these gulf storm are no joke and notoriously get stronger than predicted...

Cook all your meats, some rice, and mashed potatoes and keep them in an iced cooler. We ate cold but good food for 3 days after Ian. Didn't lose much fridge food.

I would hardly call Milton “impressive.” The terms “threatening, ” “pulverizing, ” or intimidating” come to mind. I doubt the storm will move north. There is a strong stationary front keeping the storm away and tracking it south.
