1. A man got a 10% increase in his salary. If his new salary is Rs 1,54,000, find his original salary.
2. On Sunday 845 people went to the Zoo. On Monday only 169 people went. What is the per cent decrease in the people visiting the Zoo on Monday?
3. A shopkeeper buys 80 articles for Rs 2,400 and sells them for a profit of 16%. Find the selling price of one article.
4. The cost of an article was Rs 15,500. Rs 450 were spent on its repairs. If it is sold for a profit of 15%, find the selling price of the article.
5. A VCR and TV were bought for Rs 8,000 each. The shopkeeper made a loss of 4% on the VCR and a profit of 8% on the TV. Find the gain or loss percent on the whole transaction.
6. During a sale, a shop offered a discount of 10% on the marked prices of all the items. What would a
customer have to pay for a pair of jeans marked at Rs 1450 and two shirts marked at Rs 850 each?
7. A milkman sold two of his buffaloes for Rs 20,000 each. On one he made a gain of 5% and on the other a loss of 10%. Find his overall gain or loss. (Hint: Find CP of each)
8. The price of a TV is Rs 13,000. The sales tax charged on it is at the rate of 12%. Find the amount that Vinod will have to pay if he buys it.
9. Arun bought a pair of skates at a sale where the discount given was 20%. If the amount he pays is Rs 1,600, find the marked price.
10. I purchased a hair-dryer for Rs 5,400 including 8% VAT. Find the price before VAT was added.

2. रविवार को 845 लोग चिड़ियाघर गए। सोमवार को केवल 169 लोग गए थे। सोमवार को चिड़ियाघर जाने वाले लोगों में प्रतिशत में कमी आई है?
3. एक दुकानदार 2,400 रुपये में 80 लेख खरीदता है और उन्हें 16% के लाभ पर बेचता है। एक लेख का विक्रय मूल्य ज्ञात कीजिए।
4. एक लेख की लागत 15,500 रुपये थी। इसकी मरम्मत पर 450 रुपये खर्च किए गए। यदि इसे 15% के लाभ पर बेचा जाता है, तो लेख का विक्रय मूल्य ज्ञात करें।
5. एक वीसीआर और टीवी को प्रत्येक 8,000 रुपये में खरीदा गया था। दुकानदार ने वीसीआर पर 4% और टीवी पर 8% का लाभ कमाया। पूरे लेन-देन पर लाभ या हानि प्रतिशत प्राप्त करें।
6. एक बिक्री के दौरान, एक दुकान ने सभी वस्तुओं की चिह्नित कीमतों पर 10% की छूट की पेशकश की। क्या एक
ग्राहक को जीन्स की एक जोड़ी के लिए 1450 रुपये और दो शर्टों पर 850 रुपये का भुगतान करना होगा?
7. एक दूधवाले ने अपनी दो भैंस को 20,000 रुपये में बेच दिया। एक पर उसने 5% का लाभ कमाया और दूसरे ने 10% की हानि पर। उसका समग्र लाभ या हानि खोजें। (संकेत: प्रत्येक का सीपी खोजें)
8. एक टीवी की कीमत 13,000 रुपये है। इस पर लगाया जाने वाला बिक्री कर 12% की दर से है। विनोद को अगर वह खरीदता है तो उस रकम का भुगतान करना होगा।
9. अरुण ने एक बिक्री पर स्केट्स की एक जोड़ी खरीदी, जहां दी गई छूट 20% थी। यदि वह जो राशि चुकाता है, वह 1,600 रु। है, तो चिह्नित मूल्य ज्ञात कीजिए।
10. मैंने 5,400 रुपये में एक हेयर-ड्रायर खरीदा, जिसमें 8% वैट भी शामिल था। वैट जोड़े जाने से पहले कीमत का पता लगाएं।
