Let the marked price of the jacket be Rs x
Discount % on marked price = 20%
Selling price of jacket = Rs 1120

Mam the answer for 1st question is:-
Let the mp be x so,
Disount / 100 * x = 1120
20/100* x =1120
X = 1120 *5 5600
So, the marked price is ₹5600

2nd question :-
Population of city after 2 years =A=20000[1+25/100 ] to the power 2
A =20000[4/4 +1/4] to the power of 2
A= 20000*5/4*5/4
A = 31250
So, the population after 2 years is 31, 250.

First Year:
Population increase = 20, 000 * 25% = 20, 000 * 0.25 = 5, 000
Population after the first year = 20, 000 + 5, 000 = 25, 000

Second Year:
Population increase = 25, 000 * 25% = 25, 000 * 0.25 = 6, 250
Population after the second year = 25, 000 + 6, 250 = 31, 250

So, using the simple percent method, the population of the city after 2 years will also be 31, 250.

MP=SP×100/100-Discount%
Mp=1120×100/100-20%
Mp=112000/80
Mp=1400

Mam my answer is correct but method is different
I have done like this
Girls=60% out of 100%
So it means 60/100
100-60=40
So 40% are boys
4/6=2/3
2/3=2:3
Ans=2:3
Is this method is correct
