Why we need a CAPTAIN PIKE Series! - Star Trek

Let's discuss why Anson Mount should get his own "Captain Pike" series.

This has to be a given by the powers that be at cbs, , , anson mount has been utterly brilliant as captain pike and is MORE than deserving of a series, , , please cbs take head of this and " make it so!"

It was that scene where he got onto the transporter pad, and the emperor said "Im a emperor you know, from a mirror universe" as she was she hinting it to him all season. Then he casually responded "Whats a mirror universe" then winked. That scene, just sums up his character.

Once an actor nails the character so perfectly, as did Anson Mount, there is no other actor that can take his place. The original Star Trek series never did much with the character, Captain Pike. Back then, it was basically the end of his career in the original series. It is a grand opportunity for CBS to run with this character and do it within the same time-line as the original Star Trek, which would require a separate TV series, and I believe, it would be very successful.

Personally, I immediately admired how Anson Mount played the character. He was able to generate a command presence, which is a persona of a great commander in real life. He took to the role perfectly. No one can match that. Anson Mount went from a western (Hell On Wheels) to a Sci-Fi without a stumble. Pretty damn good. In this, CBS made a damn good choice for the Pike character.

Absolutely! It would be a waste not to have Captain Pike and the new Enterprise bridge in a new series.

Anson Mount & the writers took a small story of Star Trek legend and breathed life into a truly heroic Starfleet Captain. Personally I think he saved Discovery. Mount deserves his own show. The main cast is already in place, Ethan Peck as Spoke and Rebecca Romijn as Number need to cast the doctor! Just DO IT! Pike and Spock were amazing in this season. In Menagerie we see a deep connection between them. This was a bit random because I think they had like 2 lines of dialogue between them in Cage, so I'd like to see their relationship fleshed out along with say a Lieutenant Kirk and some of the other TOS characters earlier in their careers

Anson Mount is stunningly amazing, even if not playing Pike, there is so much chemistry here. But I really hope Rebecca Romijn will be in the series too, she is amazing, beautiful and often unbelievable to think that she was Mystique in the X-Men. This show I would buy on Blu Ray!

He fits the role perfectly. I would love to see more of him and reimagined Enterprise and Mr Spock. I can see more out of a Pike/Enterprise series than I can for Discovery tbh.
