Could you explain in a little more detail how 3(100a+10b+c-2d) is equal to 3(abc-2d)?

EDIT Sorry, i just got it. The number 100a+10b+c is equal to the number having a in the hundredths place, b in the tenths place and c in the units place. The first one is just the extended form of the number abc

Tip: magic no. = (k-n)/(10k-n), where n is divisor. When n=5to14 k=1, n=15-24 k=2...

We could also say
d = -14d +15d
and replace -2d with 5d which is how some sources explain the test for 7.
