Guardians of the Galaxy (retroactively referred to as Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 1) is a 2014 American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics superhero team of the same name, produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. It is the tenth film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The film was directed by James Gunn, who wrote the screenplay with Nicole Perlman, and features an ensemble cast including Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Lee Pace, Michael Rooker, Karen Gillan, Djimon Hounsou, John C. Reilly, Glenn Close, and Benicio del Toro. In Guardians of the Galaxy, Peter Quill forms an uneasy alliance with a group of extraterrestrial misfits who are fleeing after stealing a powerful artifact.

What the hell is the guy at 4:18 talking about. That's like saying The Iron Giant was a complete waste of Vin Diesel, and those are fighting words.

I don’t like Guardians of the Galaxy because there is a lack of backstory for the characters. Why do those Xandarians look exactly like humans and uses English on their computer displays? Why is there an alien wearing a suit from Earth? And why is there a raccoon? Some backstory would be nice. Other than these, the other aliens are fine and the starship designs are interesting.

I've seen similar comments and I disagree with them all. _'GUARDIANS of the GALAXY'_ was easily the best MARVEL ensemble movie yet. Because the Director, James Gunn, chose to HAVE FUN with the entire thing. I will probably end up watching this movie dozens more times.

It's super funny to me that so many of these mentioned it being a "kiddie" movie. Guardians of the Galaxy is literally my grandparents favorite movie, which is saying something because they own a ridiculous amount of movies. Every time we go visit them we hear the soundtrack blaring out (sometimes I think my grandpa is trying to blow out everyone's ear drums) from their room at least once while we're there.

Holy hell, you just know that some of them didn't watch it or at least didn't pay attention. The kid that gets a flower from Groot is an orphan. The group of kids are shown to be begging but since they have no units to give Groot gives the only thing he can. People are dumb.
