Having an understanding that the person you married isn't the same person you'll be married to in 20 years is important. People change, it's just key to grow together instead of using it as an excuse to divorce!

Thanks for sharing your story! I'm 43 years old as well and had my first child this year. I always wanted to get married young and have many kids, but God had other plans for me. I met my husband when I was about to turn 42 and I did not expect to meet the right man any more. We married soon and had immediately had our son.

A little off topic.
I am a religious Arab Muslim and I believe in the teachings of Jesus. I listen to all your videos, and I think this one is one of the most important.
I want to have a very large family, with +20 children. I think I got a lot of useful advice and information from this video.
Thank you for making it.

Hearing you two talk about learning to love reminds me of mine. I was 16 and he was 23. We were married 63 years until his passing and had 4 kids. I use to hide in the closet to change clothes. So shy in front of him. Our only son passed 1 month after his Dad so I have our 3 daughters. 8 grandchildren and now 5 great- grandchildren. I know the love for one another that you show reminds me of my love for my husband. Bless you and your family. 🙏💖👵🏻

You have a love story! My husband of 58 years passed away recently and suddenly I was 18 when we got married and he was 19. I had always heard my parents use the divorce word. We had two simple rules for each other never use the divorce word and every night when we go to bed we say I love you even if we’ve just had an argument. We kept those two rules for 58 years of marriage. I miss him deeply He was truly the love of my life.

What a treat this is to watch! Thank you both for sharing your story and your wisdom. It’s a God sent in a world where so many of us don’t have married couples to look up to and learn from. God bless you and your family! 💗

Family and children are SO undervalued in the world to day. My mother and mother in law did not even congratulate us with our third pregnancy. They both thought it irresponsible to have more than two kids. Most people here in Norway have one or two kids. My husbond and I would definitely have more than three if we had met sooner. We got our oldest 5 months before he turned 50, and he really wan to see them grow up...

What a wonderful love story. It's not always perfect but I can tell you are also best friends and a delightful married couple. I recently lost my husband and best friend. He was only 51. Cherish every day.

So refreshing! My husband and I just had our 10th baby. We never had a number in mind either, but after encountering Jesus He rocked our world and put a love for life in us! Our marriage has only gotten more beautiful as time has gone on. A rough start having met so young (16 and 18), but we are so thankful for where God has brought us! Such a priveledge to raise these little ones for his glory! I have had 5 miscarriages, but anticipate meeting those babes some day! I am currently 41 and would love to have more. We shall see what the LORD has planned!? Much love to you both. Thanks for giving us a glimpse into your lives! God Bless!❤ 🙏

Good advice; agree with not knocking the family and foundation your spouse comes from. Different doesn’t necessarily mean wrong

Since you aren't LDS, do you identify as members of some other community, or just generally as Christians? From what community did your children find their spouses? Did they use online dating websites to find good and serious people? It would be an interesting episode for you to explain how your children met their spouses, and whether or not you guided and agreed with their choice of spouse!

The ingredients in a nutshell (from what you tell in the video) : same intentions same goal /family, patience, giving always the benefit of the doubts, when you are mad shut your mouth, accepting mistakes, to be clay into the other's person hands, and have a good support system of people around you, and good people to go to learn and don't let emotions get the best of the relationship.

On the pregnancy/birth note: would you ever do a video or series on your pregnancies and births? I would love to hear all that!
