Pushing the boundaries of what can be done with vacuum press veneering and making this super curvy drink stand with walnut veneer. The wood bending techniques go beyond what can be done with a typical form and vacuum press.

Old Tom Edison could watch this with a massive amount of joy and even a chuckle or two. Keep trying until the light stays on. He didn’t have Squarespace or Patreon to help cover the costs of failure. A woodworker’s attitude holds tight however. Now I’m less inclined to give up and I’m grateful for that message.

as someone that used to make airplane parts and used vacuum bags. red piece is called a breather. and you can find the vacuum fittings for about $20. but the home made ones are fitting for what you are doing. love watching your videos

Look at my box of waln...MAPLE veneer! I really like how the table turned out - after hearing you talk about stuff you were going to do with the vacuum press I was excited to see what you came up with. Love the idea of the acrylic in the middle to hold it up.
