I hope the voters in those states where their senators walked out after such an historic and meaningful event, keep that in mind while they vote. The last GOP member I had profound respect for, John McCain, on the occasion of Barack Obama becoming the first black man to be nominated to run for the office of President, taped a congratulatory speech that was played at the Democratic National Convention. He acknowledged the historic breakthrough that nomination represented.

Romney, Cheney, Kinzinger, their stances and courage in the face of opposition from their own party, are worthy of respect as well. Just not as much as McCain. He was one of the very last Republican elected officials that was an American first, a Republican second.

"In my family it took one generation to go from segregation to the supreme court" those lines will forever echo in history as the most important lines and will be cemented in American history for a long long time. I don't care if they want to block CRT that's always going to be remembered
