Yuta is currently the highest selling jersey in all of Japan. Lets look past his actual skills to the financials that really make the difference for certain foreign players. That exposure for the team as having the best seller financially makes him more than viable at a cost that is more than covered by his jersey sales (probably). He is good enough for a spot, maybe the 6th man next season but those sales make him a must sign for a lot of teams looking to expand their reach globally.

Yuta is on the team as a 2 way, so his position is secure. The thing is Toronto never sent Yuta down to the 905 because they like his defense. Based upon his current performance he doesn't need more time in the 905 so he gets a full nba contract. Therefore, draft pick can get the open 2way spot once Yuta is converted to a full nba contract. The question is do you put Freddie Gillespie on the 905 because like Yuta, Freddie is playing great with the team. If Baynes doesn't return then maybe Freddie can get that spot.
