Because of this oil people are going to see the value in Red Line once again

the only definitive way to test this is to take a varnished engine, run the valvoline a few oil changes and take the engine apart and see if the deposits/varnishes are gone, everyhting else is too sterile/incomplete. The lab results also say you can run 1M miles with 10K oil changes...doesnt work in real life

"Up to 100%"
"Up to" is their loophole to get out of their claims.
The average person is not wealthy enough to run a test for all of these miracle products. Pull the pistons and take pictures, run the engine for 90 hours 4 times, pull the pistons and compare...

Well, I have watched many videos on this product, now yours included. I just started using it and I’ll let you know the results soon enough. I plan on changing the oil after 500 miles because I see some state the oil filter has the opportunity to get a lot of gunk in it to the point of it being clogged. I’ll see what the oil looks like and take a sample of it and send it in as well. I’ll crack the filter and look at what is inside also.

My car sat for two years and only started occasionally and I’m sure the valve stems and rings are needing a product like this- if it works. I haven’t lost any power, so I’m hoping nothing is wrong here. I’m blowing blue smoke at idle and revs. I can smell oil consumption and fuel when the wind hits my windows just right. I have side exhaust so that helps get that sense of smell while cruising down the highway.

I have a good drive for tomorrow to finish off the 500 miles. And will get the oil changed next week.

But, by the vids I have seen, as well as Valvoline’s extensive video, I think it is worth a shot rather than rebuild my motor this fall.

This stuff works.I did a piston soak with berrymans b12, then I changwd the oil with restore and protect. 1000 miles later, no more oil consumption.

also the rattling sound I heard when acclerating is gone.

Outstanding oil. NO ONE on here can test the way Valvoline does nor have they invited top tribologist to break engines down off this oils testings.

Speed jr. Is a excellent tribologist, but he can't really tell us for a fact this oil works like they say. Even his oil analysis doesnt show anything special about the oil. What it does show is there is a low oxidation amount for a virgin oil. Meaning it has very little to no esters.
He can only repeat their regurgitation that it works, but no one, even Lake can attest it works

That piston Valvoline is showing has no Carbon Buildup look at the ring grooves Closely there all clean looks like they just painted half the piston with flat black paint ! as for cleaning a Gasoline Engine any Diesel rated oil (Rotella, Delo, Delvac ) has High Detergents some have almost Double amounts then standard Gas SN only rated oils .

I'm sticking what has worked the best for my 2014 F150 3.5L Ecoboost. Pennzoil UP or Valvoline Max life high mileage. Much better results than the Motorcraft it ran on when i first bought the truck with ext. warranty and free oil changes that were included.

I still have seen zero proof from anyone that this stuff does what it claims. I want to believe but so far I’ve seen no proof. Just a bunch of “I feel like” claims.

thanks for the video I'll just add additives to the engine

very interesting about the over 300 degree oil temp. I just watched a TFL youtube where they tow 10, 000 lbs up a mountain on a 90 degree day with a new Ram turbo v6 and the oil temp doesn't go over 250. I wonder how critical the high oil temp is to doing the cleaning? I'm running restore and protect in my 2007 es350 with 200K miles now. I'm curious to see what it looks like when I drain it around 3K.

i just bought this for my hyundai ioniq hybrid. going to run it fir 2k miles then do another oil change and filter change and run that for 3k miles then switch back to PUP oil. i have 230k miles but the first half of those miles i was doing 10-12k mile oil changes. worried about what type of wear or deposits came from that since the engine is GDI and hybrid combined and was using thin 0w-20 oils from only jiffylube and express valvoline 15 min oil change places. i have been using techron fuel system cleaner every oil change too for the past year though

Compelling argument.
Have you considered running an experiment?

Thank you for the video. Do you think todays engines calling for 0w20 oils harm the engine in the long run? I've read its use is fuel efficiency driven. I've used 0w20 in my 2012 Camry (Mobil 1) and with 212k on it, it rattles at startup. So now, I'm thinking about using 5w30 or 10w30 to see if it gets quieter at startup. I'm in South Florida. Any suggestions would be helpful, excellent video!

I tried that Restore and Protect. Had it in 800 miles and dumped it. Went back to their Extended Protection. 2003 Ford 5.4 made more noise on startup with Restore and Protect so went back to EP noise has went away. So don't know the numbers etc. . .but sure can hear my engine make more noise with that crap. Used their EP for years no problems clean engine.
