Pizza Hut's New Crazy Crust Pizza

We're going to take a second to go on a pizza rant. So just strap in and take it. We mean business. PIZZA IS JUST FINE. Okay, sorry, we just needed to get that out because chains like Pizza Hut seem hell bent on continuing to release "more innovative pizzas" to try and make pizza better and entice us to come back to their restaurants. People aren't ordering less pizza, because pizza is the [insert offensive poop word here]. If they're ordering it less from you, then maybe it's a sign you should make your normal pizza NOT SUCK. So here we are. A new kind of funky "fun" pizza. Thank you Pizza Hut for making pizza better... FAIL. Or are we wrong? Do you love these crazy crusts? Is this really the second coming of pizza??

Sometimes when I feel fat for eating unhealthy, I come to this series and I'm like, "Hey, at least I'm not eating crazy cheesy crust pizza, loaded tater tots and washing it down with bacon vodka."

The original location is in Compton. That one is great. I trained down there for a while before we opened the full restaurant up on La Brea. Kevin Bludso is the man.

I totally get that, but I'm also a big believer in supporting independent local businesses (instead of Pizza Hut), or learning to cook it yourself. If you cook food yourself, you'll live a healthier life, and once you start doing it regularly, you'll save a lot of money too. Fast food is cheap up front, but becomes incredibly expensive on the back end, after you add in medical costs.

My tip for making pizza at home: buy a dough off a pizza place you like. It's cheap and ready to roll.
