I LOVE mimikyu’s shiny form, it wears the fabric of an old pikachu plushie so game freak could’ve very easily just Mae that part have the same colors of regular shiny Pikachu(which wouldn’t be too far out there considering how they probably do make shiny variants for Pokémon plushies in universe just like they do in real life), but instead of taking that route they went with giving it a black & white tone body instead which looks so damn cool and not only highlights it’s ghost typing but also demonstrating that mimikyu, despite wanting to be pikachu to gain all the love and attention it gets, is still its own Pokémon and thus that bleeds into its disguise as well. It’s so damn cute that when I found out they made an official plushie of it I bought it instantly!

Alola was my favorite region growing up. Sun and moon came out when I was in high school, and I loved the tropic vibe along with the unique way of going with the pokemon mechanics. I'm excited for the alola remakes

I think shiny palossand may be a reference to *“Punaluʻu Beach”* in Hawaii because of its famous black sand
