I've always thought the opening riff of "Meadows" had a bit of a resemblance to Deep Purple's "Woman from Tokyo." The song was recorded in July 1972 and released in early 1973, while Joe Walsh's "Meadows" was recorded in late 1972-early 1973 and released in June 1973, but Walsh said he'd already started working on the song before he left the James Gang (which is odd because it didn't make it onto his debut album Barnstorm), but Ritchie Blackmore couldn't have been inspired by it since Walsh's song came out later, so who After all, it's probably a coincidence at the same moment in time. Synchronicity!😉
