Papyrus and Frisk - Let Him Cook! [Undertale 3D Animation]

The GREAT Papyrus has finally joined the RTX gang! He and Frisk are ready for that spaghetti. 🍝

Last time I uploaded a poll asking you guys which Undertale character you'd like to see me model and animate next, which resulted in Papyrus winning by an overwhelming majority, so I figured doing something spaghetti-related was a given. Oddly enough Papyrus' face was one of the hardest faces I have ever modeled so far, since it's so angular and expressive, so he posed quite the challenge. It took me 3 attempts until I was happy with his look, so I hope I did the coolest of dudes justice! This is also the first time I am using a text box in my animations, which I am considering using more often for future stuff.

Fun fact: The environment is supposed to be the kitchen from his and Sans' home, which I thought would make for a fun reference! There are a couple more easter eggs hidden here, but I won't spoil em!

The characters Frisk, Papyrus, the Annoying Dog and Temmie are from the game Undertale by Toby Fox, and partially designed by Temmie Chang. Models, rigs, animation and lighting/rendering/sound editing in this animation by me.

My goodness, you consistently have some of the best Undertale 3D representations I've ever seen. Most of the time even officially licensed designs fall short in multiple ways, but yours just hit the mark every time.

Watching this multiple times to focus on how each character behaves just shows how amazingly detailed your animations are!!! I also love how you can tell their clothes are fabric, feels like I could reach my hand into the screen and touch it!

The way Papyrus handles the knife so delicately just cracks me up. Especially with how he just plunks it in there anyways, like that moment of hesitation isn't because he has to think about whether it's a good idea to put a knife in the pasta, but just because he wants to put it in carefully. It's such a funny detail to me.
The animation in general also just looks amazing! It's so charmingly stylized. The texturing and the geometry and the movements... It's sooo cute. It's clear that it was made with a lot of love! ❤️

I came from reddit, and i recognized the artstyle. I like those little details like text on papyrus suit, cutting board with knife and tomato's, and how theyre gone after ingredients scene. Also i like how frisk's sweater haves actual fabric texture, thats cool. It's literally made with love. I would love to see how you portray sans.

It took me a second to realize that Papyrus’s face in the text box was animated and not just using the original sprite. Very cool!
