Just incase y’all want a review from someone using this product for 6 months. It works if you have oily skin only. The salicylic acids in this isn’t gentle enough for dry skin, therefore you should stick to cleansers like cetaphil and other natural non-scented cleansers. But for oily skin this product is perfect, just make sure you’re not over exfoliating (you should only exfoliate 2-3 times a week btw) and please wear a lite non-clogging natural face moisturizer after using washing your face (or sunscreen for those with discoloring issues)

While I haven't used this product, I've used other products that dry out the skin and found that certain moisturizers do lead to worse breakouts. It's a matter of finding one that's fairly light and won't clog pores.

I use the Neutrogena acne wash every night and it works wonders. Straight after the Acne Wash i use a hydrating, fragrance-free toner. than an essence that calms down redness. Then The ordinary Niacinimide serum to calm down redness and to give my skin a natural glow. I ALWAYS USE the CeraVe Facial Moisturising Lotion Because it has ceramides, an amazing ingredient to restore the natural skin barrier. It is compulsory to use ceramides in my opinion when you use the acne wash because we probaly damaged are skin barrier by using the acne wash. And also the lotion also has soddium hyloronate (hyloronic acid) to restore hydration

PLEASEEE USE THIS SKINCARE ROUTINE. It is Cheap, Soothing, Fragrance Free and it is good for all skin types

i only have white and black heads, and this products worked for me no dry skin no more heads, i actually liked this product till i saw this video and the comment, ill keep using it but i wont recommend it to others.

I think its just not for everyone but key is to use that wash and then hydrate your skin with an emollient moisturizer because this face wash does clear pores and some acne.

I like this stuff. At first it made my skin irritated for the first two weeks. Even if it's 2%, it still irritated a little. I tried the clearasil 2% cream cleanser and it didn't dry out as much. Basically it's the same thing but I guess the cream consistency is less harsh ?

this is happening to me as well, except for the acne coming back. my skin is super clear but i’m trying to figure out if the cons are worth it. just a note that i’ve never had dry skin anywhere on my face before. i don’t have super dry skin anywhere except for the sides on my mouth, with make me look like i’m a fucking vampire and it also burns my skin if i’m out in the light too much (i was at marching band practice recently and my face began to burn in the august sun, it was so bad). i’m trying so see if i can fix the dry skin issue and if i can, i’ll keep using it cause it’s the only face wash that’s truly cleared my skin (the only other things that have worked were the cleanandclear advanced spot treatment and the elf roll on spot treatment) but right now it’s got about a 6/10.

I had an allergic reaction to this. It dried my skin out to the point where it was peeling off. I had to stop using it 2 weeks after buying it. I haven’t used it for 2 weeks and my skin is still healing.

the trick in using this acne cleanser is to switch between another gentle cleanser. So use this cleanser every other day

Like you said you have a fair and normal skin so it means your sebum production was normal and that product was recommended for acne prone and oily skin

This product actually works. I’ll tell you my secret!!! Use this as you would normally, perhaps leave it on your skin for 30 seconds to let the salicylic acid do it’s thing. THEN this is the secret: use hyaluronic acid on your damp skin (don’t dry face after washing). One molecule of hyaluronic acid can hold a gallon of water. This acid works best in humid environments. Then to lock in the hyaluronic acid, use a light moisturizer on top, preferably with Ceramides in it. Honestly, Cerave is amazing. Try it out! Worked for me and I had cystic acne since I was 12.
