Ok if you guessed a different number he still technically guessed the number no matter if the number was a fraction or decimal, the equation/ formula will always have 5 in it. So the real question isn’t what should I pick for my number, It’s how many people where fooled by the sandwich illusion. That’s a more simple challenge. So if your number is 'X', then you double it it becomes '2X', then you add 10 to make it '2X+10', then you half it, giving you 'X +5', and at last he asks to subtract 5, which leaves you with 'X' again, which is your number ofc . So no magic here, but nice to play along .
