Why do I need to do math in order to find my name? I can just tell you straightforward what my name is.

The first trick looks magical but when you "deconstruct it' it becomes simple. Let's use algebra: Let's say you have a number n
He tells you to multiply by 2 so you have 2n
He tells you to add 6 so 2n+6
He then tells you to DIVIDE it by 2, which means it becomes n+3
Then he says to substract your original number n
n+3
-n

So you always would get 3 so now you know how it works.
1:00 The next trick is also simple.
n+3+2+5-n=n+5+5-n = n+10-n = -n+n+10 = 0n+10 = 10
You would get 10 every time.
1:53 This trick is a little hard since now PEMDAS matters.
Let's say you're name is only one letter. Let's call that letter l.
He then asks to multiply the number you got with your letter with the table.
Then he asks you to multiply that number by 2 so 2l
Then add 3 so 2l+3
Then he asks you to multiply by 5 so 10l+15
Then he asks you to subtract 6 which then makes 10l+9
Now the ones place value would be 9 but if you ignore the one's place (subtract 9, then divide 10), you would just get l which is what you started with.

For the name thing, whatever number it will end in nine. Multiplying a number by two gives us a even number, then adding three which is an odd number should give us an odd number. Multiplying an odd number by five will make it end in five. A number ending in five minus six gives us a nine in the last digit of the answer

For anyone who cares here's how they all work:

?X2+6/2-?=3 Simply doubled it then added six, halved it then removed the original number. Of course you end up with half of six, three.

?+3+2+5-?=10 3, 2 and 5 equal 10.

Both tables are identical, they are just numbered in alphabetical order. ?X2+3X5-6, you end up with ?9. So separately you did ?X2X5 or X10, so of course you made it ?0, with two or three digits depending on the original number. The other half is +3X5-6 which equals 15-6 which is 9. If you ignore the 9's of course you have the original number.

The cards: Queen of Diamonds, King of Clubs, King of Diamonds, Jack of Spades, Queen of Clubs, Jack of Hearts. The answers are: Jack of Diamonds, King of Spades, Queen of Hearts, Jack of Clubs and King of Hearts. They don't expect you to remember more than one so believe that only the one you remembered is missing.

American states: Everyone chose Yellow simply because there are no states that end with any of the other letters.

Age: ?X2+5X50 then 1772 or 1771 (if not had a birthday yet this year). So separate it: ?X2X50 or X100. 5X50=250 and 250+1772 is 2022, this year. Minus your birth year and you end up with your age with ?X100 in front.

Current time: HourX2+5X50 so separate again is HourX100 and 250 then +Minutes - 250. So removed the other elements then you've got HourX100+ Minutes.

The reading mind one is more complicated but it is the most common answers. 7 because it is the only number between 1 and 10 people count as 'random' this is mostly to do with prime numbers and being the only one (in that amount) that is not a factor of another number in the group. Carrot and Rose are just common answers.
