I like how at the beginning the word "Rights" is capitalized, yet "freedoms" is lower case. then again maybe I'm reading too much into it.

Canada is mostly considered to be a "Shared Monarchy". This means that although we do follow through with certain traditions honoring our overseas monarchs, we still stand as an independent country with our own rules and elected officials.

The argument of having too much government or none at all is futile, as it would be much better to have an informed society that watches their government. By knowing your rights, what bills/amendments are being introduced, and voting you can make it better.

The Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR)..check it out as Canada is a signatory to it. Also find me the word "Human" in the Charter?

why torch the Queen?  She's kinda how we have all these freedoms .  Think about it we could still be a british Colony if it wasn't for Queen Victoria.
