Join me in exploring the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms. This human rights document (which is entrenched in our Constitution) protects some of the rights and freedoms we Canadians find most important to the functioning of our democratic society: fundamental freedoms, democratic rights, mobility rights, legal rights, and equality rights.

Has this training been given to all Canadian media? They sure are ignoring it.

I was in Ottawa.
And the current government broke all these laws. The charter the bill.
And all Canadians hearts.
By intruding the emergency powers act.
Illegally. Now it our duty to vote the traitor out.

What about the right to peacefully protest? I guess that only applies when it's following the governments narrative..

These rights are constitutional rights. If the government can override these rights, then they are privileges not rights. Also any overrides must be lawful ie be passed by parliament, not executive dictat.

Amazingly informative video. I love that the information was presented in such a balanced and objective way. It's so difficult to find accurate information that is not politically charged one way or another. Please make more!

What does it mean when the limits dont count for landlords and employers ? (Assuming its private entities) what exactly does that limitation fall under ? (General or specifically towards freedom of expression) for example you can express yourself towards a civil servant but not private entities?

Is section 28 of the Charter a right or a freedom, or is it a rule of interpretation? Does it override Sections 1 and 24 or section 33? It seems to say that it does. Interesting problem. It has some relevance in the Saskatchewan pronoun case

Question off topic just need advice. Back in 2020 when covid first started the Fiancee and I went to file our taxes and we found out that an H&R block filed another Tyler Oliver under my old profile from 2014 and did not match the social insurance numbers. Causing a fraudulent tax for us. They took away our child allowance, my sons disability from his stroke at birth/ cerebral palsy, refused me ei and cerb. We lost everything due to h&r and the media called me an inconsiderate asshole for asking for help and lawyers told me I’m going against a tax empire so there’s absolutely nothing I can do in less I’m a millionaire. Our package has been sitting at the cra since March. 26, 2020 but that sector of the government is still considered nonessential and still not back to work to deal with this. The only one that was willing to help was the local mp but they could only do so much. What rights do I have here or am I really just an inconsiderate asshole?
