How to select, roll out, and stretch barbed wire

Thank you. My dad taught me a lot of stuff over the years, but he didn't have a farm so I never learned how to stretch barbed wire. I recently bought a small acreage and this video just helped me out big time. Thanks again.

When you are attaching barb wire to a metal post, it might be best to go around the post twice. This will keep the wire from sliding down the post when spacing the strands of wire.

The most important part of the installation is the setup he has on his ATV to unspool the wire. This type of project is impossible without something like the spoiler as the wire spool is very heavy.😊

Send some of that wire to us!!! Sheffield wire sucks! We had a strand break today and it wasn’t even tight yet. Also, you can pull off of the post, you don’t have to have a skid steer. Another thing it you want to wrap your wire twice and if you go under the run on the first wrap you want to go over the run on the second when tying off. It’ll put a bind on it and keep it from slipping. Also, if you ever have to fix it in the future it gives just that much extra slack to work with.
