Gros Michel bananas taste just like Cavendish, just a tiny bit more potent in flavor and smell, which may or may not be noticeable. They do NOT taste like the candy. This is just misinformation. I know this, because I just ate one. They are ridiculously expensive and not worth the price. I'm only writing this to help people not waste their money on a set of false hopes to try candy flavored bananas, as I did. All of my Google searches and history and YouTube videos I've watched on the subject assured me that they taste like the candy. It was only after trying them, that I used the key words: why don't they taste that I found out it was all just a lie. People, apparently, are disappointed all the time, when they find out that they just taste like bananas. Again, you can smell them more when you peel them, and the taste might be a bit stronger, but the flavor is the same as the Cavendish.
