Does anyone have an explanation for the cacti growing under the seats?!? Tune in next week to see the satisfying conclusion to this DISASTER detail, complete with the owner's reaction! You don't want to miss it!

14:37 the cacti can root into any medium if its soft enough for the roots to get into. Paper, foam, and carpet all easy for the cacti to grow in

Have any of the owners of the cars that are being restored ever came back to show you how the restoration turned out? I would love to see an update video on some of the cars.

Cactus will grow on almost anything. We had a small cactus that sat up on a bookcase. Apparently it was dropping little segments behind the bookcase because later when we went to move the bookcase there was a cactus forest rooted into the carpet back there.

My husband and I bought an 84 Wagoneer off a friend for $500…we thought we got a steal…very quickly we put $1500 worth of new or rebuilt parts and it ran just enough to around the block and die…well in the midst of all that I bought some brushes and a wet/dry vac and boy did that shag carpet make it a workout! Kudos my dude!!

I Know you're not a mechanic, but do consider buying a breaker bar for loosening those stubborn nuts or bolts. They're cheap and effective. Also a bit of WD40 does wonders. And regarding the tailgate lock, if you would have removed the seven flathead screws which hold the panel underneath the latch on the inside of the tailgate, you could have unlocked and opened it that way. Nice car either way.

At some point, your "worst detail ever" is gonna have you in a full Hazmat suit and hood at the rate you are going. Thats some nasty shit in that Jeep. As always, your work is amazing. Countless times I watch your details and think "I want to do that to my car". Then I realize all the work that goes into it and the fact Im lazy and think "Eh, maybe another day!"

Some people are saying this is a junkyard car. Clearly they’ve never watched pole barn garage or junkyard digs. Almost every car deserves another chance, especially one like this.

That is the SJ Wagoneer and it looks like it has the 327 AMC engine from Rambler in it. There were a number of engines used, one being the 350 Buick Dauntless engine that was a popular engine option. That vehicle was in production until 1991; 4 years after Chrysler bought AMC and still used the 5.9 liter AMC engine with the Motorcraft 2100 carburetor. GREAT VIDEO!

@thedetailgeek I'll be honest - longer form videos are something I don't mind...

Seeing older cars get cleaned are definitely better than new cars

Hey Mitch, have you ever considered doing a follow-up video on some of these vehicles you’ve done, in some cases horrifying, restoration prep work on to see what they look like after they are made pretty again? I know I’d love to see them.

You underestimate how much I am absolutely down for an hour long video of this, lol. Remember that some of probably aren't intently watching things like this. Vs having it on a secondary monitor.

This wins the award for most random stuff in the cargo area (Chinese checkers? Scuba fin? Snoopy? And what’s with all of the jar rings?)

As a BC resident myself.... I'm pretty sure those are pine needles from Pine Trees... they're everywhere here!!! 🌲🌲 Had a HUGE one at a former place I lived at and every fall my car/windshield would be covered in them!!! 🤦‍♀️😂 Also.... I wouldn't mind an hour long video!!! I watch them on YouTube all the time!!! 😁👍🏾👍🏾 Can't wait for part 2!!! 😍😍

The fact other detailers turn down really bad filthy cars/vehicles. You just know Mitch is committed to make the vehicles looking unreal! So proud of you. Keep it up ❤

Good job Mitch! I believe what appeared to be cacti were actually spines, which grow on the cactus. The spines can detach easily from the plant and blow away in a slight breeze. Essentially, they are similar to leaves on a tree. I’m guessing they blow into cars like leaves do. Deserts are usually very windy so when a car door is opened, a lot get in.

As someone who lives in Arizona we have packrats that bring cacti into small places, so I’m guessing something similar put all that cactus there. I’ve opens the hood of my car to find cactus several times 😂
