Our laser fires an intense pulse of light that travels through the skin and shatters the ink causing it to break up into tiny particles. The body’s immune system then flushes these particles away resulting in the fading and removal of the tattoo.

DO I HAVE TO HAVE A PATCH TEST?

Yes. Test patches are carried out to determine the treatment parameters and to judge how your skin and the tattoo might react to a full treatment. During a test patch, a small area of your tattoo will be treated, and this allows us to assess how well the light energy is being absorbed and whether the skin and tattoo pigment will respond as expected.

IS THE PROCESS PAINFUL?

Most clients compare the pain to that of getting a tattoo or being hit by hot fat from a frying pan. We use a skin cooling device called the cryo cooler to reduce discomfort. Depending on the size of the tattoo, most laser treatments generally take between 10 and 30 minutes. Larger tattoos will take longer to remove, and the larger surface area may make it more difficult to remove the tattoo completely.
